coastal minimalism redefined
Nestled in the seaside town of Forte dei Marmi, this apartment reflects a fresh interpretation of Italian coastal living. We approached the design with a vision of coastal minimalism redefined, a delicate balance between simplicity and richness, restraint and detail.
Sculptural Spatial Flow
The reconfiguration of the apartment’s layout created a greater sense of openness. By removing partitions in the living area, space was given back to light and movement, allowing a central dining area to act as the heart of the home. This spatial clarity establishes a sculptural rhythm, where forms blend seamlessly to enhance flow and continuity.
italian coastal interiors
The apartment draws on its context in Tuscany, only a short distance from the Carrara marble quarries. Marble is a defining feature throughout, textured marble floors paired with Giallo di Siena add depth and natural variation. Stucco walls painted cool white reflect coastal light, while brass details and duck-egg cabinetry in the kitchen infuse warmth. Each choice contributes to a palette that feels both refined and authentically Italian.
layers of storytelling
Bedrooms are infused with atmosphere through patterned wallpaper, bamboo furniture, and warm textiles, while bathrooms showcase geometric marble tiles and British-inspired sanitaryware. Every detail reflects a dialogue between timeless elegance and contemporary sensibility, between coastal ease and urban sophistication.
minimalism with personality
Minimalist design does not mean absence; it means clarity. Here, minimalism is enriched with character: wicker pendant lighting above a marble kitchen table, Gubi pink-toned chairs surrounding a Bross dining table, and frosted Flos chandeliers floating with subtle presence. These elements soften the austerity of minimalism, lending the interiors a distinctly human touch.
coastal minimalism redefined
The Forte dei Marmi apartment exemplifies how a home can be both minimal and expressive, rooted in its coastal setting yet forward-looking in design. By uniting Italian craftsmanship, local materiality, and curated interiors, Pardini Hall has reimagined Tuscan minimalism for a new era of coastal living.
reflection
This project demonstrates that true minimalism is not about reduction but about resonance. The Forte dei Marmi apartment becomes a canvas for coastal light, Italian materiality, and lived experience. A place where simplicity is enriched by memory, detail, and atmosphere.
