Pardini Hall Architecture has been shortlisted at the Build It Awards 2026 for Best Architect or Designer for a Renovation Project, with 40BP, the period apartment renovation in Belsize Park, north London.
The Build It Awards, run with the National Self Build & Renovation Centre, recognise the year’s best self-build, renovation, extension and conversion projects in the UK, together with the architects, designers and suppliers behind them. In this category the practice is shortlisted alongside Detailed Planning, Paul Archer Design and Weave Architects.
40BP is a whole-apartment renovation for a family, carried out entirely within the existing footprint. Enclosing part of an over-generous entrance corridor and removing a bathroom the flat did not need produced a third room; the walk-in wardrobe became an en-suite for the principal bedroom. A pair of carved screens already in the flat were kept and now stand between kitchen and living space, and an arch found boarded over during the strip-out was reinstated. The apartment is exactly the size it always was.
Winners are announced at a gala lunch on Friday 27 November 2026. The full shortlist is here: 2026 Shortlist — Build It Awards.
