The Meadows in The Economic Times

Cotswold stone hotel and restaurant at dusk, glazed dining extension above the terraced water garden

The Economic Times has picked up The Meadows, our hotel and restaurant in the Cotswolds, in its World section. The piece is by Advaita Suresh on the paper’s Global Desk, and credits designboom, which published the project four days earlier.

It keeps the things that matter: local materials chosen to hold down the carbon cost and to tie the building to where it stands; a restaurant that opens onto the courtyard and carries on outside, with a garden-to-table kitchen; and a landscape treated as part of the plan rather than the view from it.
