A+D Dispatch, the online edition of the Indian magazine Architecture + Design, has written up The Meadows in its Spatial Design section. Unlike the other coverage this week, this one is its own piece rather than a syndication, and it looks at the project from the environmental side.
It picks out the measures that sit behind the architecture: solar panels, rainwater harvesting and greywater reuse for irrigation, and the site analysis — orientation, form, passive solar gain — that the studio starts a project with. It places The Meadows within a wider body of work on environmentally responsible design, and reads the hotel as a rural retreat tied to its setting.
