Il progetto ha comportato la ristrutturazione dell’abitazione e l’aggiunta di un’estensione leggera in vetro e acciaio che fornisce alla famiglia ulteriore luce e spazio. Alla luce del giorno, la struttura in vetro e acciaio inossidabile riflette l’ambiente circostante, quasi fondendosi con il giardino.

La sera, l’ampliamento illumina la muratura originale e la facciata in vetro praticamente scompare. Inoltre, due lucernari calpestabili aumentano la luce naturale in tutto l’edificio, fornendo anche una caratteristica interessante che cambia con le stagioni all’esterno. Il risultato è un design contemporaneo integrato a questo edificio classico. Il rifacimento moderno dei piani terra e seminterrato, crea spazi più luminosi, utilizzando materiali e mobili eleganti.

Il paesaggio è stato semplificato e adattato alle esigenze del cliente. Grandi felci indigene sono state trasferite e donate a Belgrave Square, che ha aperto il giardino, rivelando un affresco classico un tempo nascosto.
