A Refined Yet Discreet Addition to the Landscape
Set in the rolling hills of Tuscany, this pool project by Pardini Hall Architecture weaves together local tradition and a sustainable approach to materials, creating a refined yet discreet addition to the landscape.
The pool edge is crafted from locally sourced travertine, selected for its timeless elegance and tactile quality. Its warm tones frame the water with quiet sophistication. The interior is lined with resin, a contemporary solution that ensures durability while enhancing the crystalline brilliance of the pool.
Around the pool, reclaimed stone paving was carefully chosen. Salvaged from the construction yard of a historic villa, these natural grey tones harmonise with the existing dry-stone walls and the rustic character of the Tuscan site, reinforcing a sense of continuity between old and new.
Sustainable Tuscan Pool Design
Sustainability guided the technical choices as well. The pool operates with a saltwater system in place of traditional chlorine. This method, which generates chlorine naturally through electrolysis, reduces the need for chemicals, lowers environmental impact, and offers a healthier swimming experience.
The result is a pool that settles quietly into its surroundings, using exclusively local resources, resonating with the textures and colours of the Tuscan countryside, and offering a contemporary space for leisure that remains deeply respectful of place.
